hollAnd: The Paris Hilton Mujahideen

On a completely random chance I ran across this album a few days ago. I had no clue that Trevor Kampmann, known as hollAnd, was still releasing music. Turns out this is his first full length since 1997's amazing Your Orgasm, which just happens to be one of those albums that inspired me quite a bit with home recording back in those formative years of mine.

I bought this album on iTunes because once I saw it online I knew I had to have it immediately. I couldn't wait for anything to be shipped or count on any of the shops here to carry it. And because of that, copy protected technology won't let me share any of the songs with you. So that's sort of a bummer. But I highly recommend this. It was released on Teenbeat. It's all I've listening to for the past 2 days so I figured it deserved some attention here.

Here's one of my favorites off of the afore mentioned Your Orgasm

Btw, if anyone out there has a copy of Magnetophone, a cd by hollAnd's old project Sea Saw, please do get in touch. I used to have a cassette copy of it back in the day, and that's long gone. I'm sure we could figure out some sort of trade.

he never stopped releasing music. I know he does a lot of production work including a CAT POWER recording? The great one is the mini album DRUMS, i think it's on darla records.

Certainly. Now, someone just needs to track down "...And Its Head Popped Off" and send it to us.
